Motorhome buyers wanting a stylish look at an affordable price will want to keep an eye out for the new fully integrated (A class) model from Carado. Carado is the European-manufactured entry level motorhome brand from German company Erwin Hymer Group, distributed exclusively by SmartRV in New Zealand, alongside Bürstner and HYMER.
Carado unveiled its highly anticipated new integrated model at this year’s Caravan Salon event in Germany – the largest annual European trade fair for motorhomes and caravans. The SmartRV team, who attend the event in Düsseldorf each year for an insight into industry trends and developments, say the new model is a great addition to the Carado portfolio and bound to be popular with NZ motorhomers.
Up until now, Carado offered only semi-integrated motorhomes (meaning the Carado motorhome body was attached to a Fiat Ducato chassis and cab), but has now added the fully integrated option, where the full cab and motorhome body is designed as one, and attached to the chassis. The advantage of a fully integrated vehicle is a more streamlined exterior and spacious interior. Fully integrated models have previously only been available in more expensive brands.
Available in two different layouts, the new Carado vehicles have a spacious, open feel and offer ample freedom of movement from cab to rear. Both models are 7.43 metres long and provide a top-quality living space. The interior has the same features as the rest of Carado’s semi-integrated vehicles.
SmartRV Marketing Director, Mary Hamilton, says Carado is offering motorhome buyers great value for money. “The other advantage of the new model is that this way, Carado can make the cabs more spacious, rather than relying on what Fiat supplies. It’s great that they can keep it at a price point that keeps it in the value range.” She says SmartRV hopes to have the new fully integrated Carado models in New Zealand by early 2019.
